A knitting tool that knitters commonly carried around their waist until the 19th century. This tool allowed knitters to knit faster but also encouraged on-the-go knitting. A knitting sheath had a hole carved out at the top to hold the right knitting needle, allowing knitters to knit at their busiest moments.
