Did you know our curator and registrar are huge Star Wars fans? When our registrar Jen labeled the shelves in our new large artifact storage building, the Rankin Center for Collections Care, she did the only logical thing and added the appropriate droids! The Rankin Center was completed last summer and as of today we have moved and processed 81 artifacts into our new storage facility!

Every artifact that is moved into the Rankin Center receives a deep clean, an updated and improved catalog record with a new condition report, and gets new detailed photographs taken! This processing takes 2 to 4 hours per artifact and wouldn't be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers!
