As the colors of fall paint the landscape, the Museum of the Grand Prairie is gearing up to celebrate the vibrant season with its annual Harvest Fest. Set to take place on Saturday, October 7, from 1-3 p.m., the festival promises a slew of traditional autumnal activities for attendees of all ages.

Visitors can look forward to a range of seasonal favorites. The highlight of the event, pumpkin carving and decorating, promises to bring out the creativity in everyone. To ensure you get a pumpkin, be sure to register by October 4 at ccfpd.org. Each pumpkin is priced at $5, and quantities are limited, ensuring exclusivity.

But that’s not all! Families can indulge in nostalgic hay-rack rides, while apple aficionados can test their skills at apple peeling. As dusk nears, gather around the fire for not-so-scary stories, perfect for setting the autumn mood.

While the pumpkins come at a nominal fee, all other program activities are absolutely free of charge. It’s a gesture by the museum to ensure that everyone can participate and enjoy the event to the fullest.

Parents are kindly reminded that children must always be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the fest.
