Program Location: North Boat Ramp/West Lake Trailhead, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, 2573 S Homer Lake Rd, Homer, IL 61849

Experience nature from a different perspective as we explore the aquatic life of Homer Lake via canoe or kayak. We are teaming up with Lunatic Kayak Rentals to offer this new experience! During this program, a naturalist will guide a caravan of canoes and kayaks around Homer Lake; basic canoe/kayak safety and instruction will also be covered.

Previous paddling experience is recommended. All equipment will be provided; please wear water-safe shoes and bring something to drink.

Options for single-person kayak or 2-3 person canoes. Prices start at $8; see our website for pricing info.

Ages 8 and up; adults must accompany participants under 18. Space is limited; Registration required by June 1 at ccfpd.org. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
